Great day

First I took down the blinds in the bathroom and living room and soaked them in the tub in bleach and Dawn. I accomplished a little today -- washed those windows and put the blinds back up after they were dry.

Karla is buying my Kia tomorrow for cash, which will put me back into a safe place money-wise. I'll have enough to cover the rent for a month should anything unforseen come up. YEAH for that!

Sandy and I got back into a normal Saturday routine. We went to Uncle Willie's for lunch and then hit the Seymour stores. After that I went to Bob's to buy sneakers with backs on them because I found out last Monday that swordfighting and backless sneakers do not mix if you're doing footwork also. Got a good deal there -- $49.00 for the sneakers minus two $10 discounts so I paid a decent price. Then I went to Big Y and bought 10 packages of meat, small packages but worth $5+ per package, for $40.

Came home after being out from 11 a.m. to almost 5 p.m. and Zooey had not peed on the floor.

Sandy gave me my birthday presents -- a knitting book and a few other things and I got a message on my Facebook from Tommy saying , Happy birthday BEST friend. I was shocked to see him call me his best friend, oldest, yes, but BEST was awesome. I also received a birthday card from Lou and will have to remember to call her tomorrow. AND I received a letter from Nationwide's lawyer with a summary of the deposition of the accident reconstructionist they hired. He said that the accident was definitely the other lady's fault. I knew that and Nationwide knows that and HER insurance company knows that since they paid me a whole $2000 for the car and my trip to the hospital. We'll see if she's still going to court with this.

Oh and the weather was perfect -- sunshine and in the high 40's. Couldn't ask for a better day!
