Living in historic times

This whole thing that is going on ... it's not in the least bit good and yet not too many people are seeing that. It's freaking scarey. Occupy Wall Street has spread across the US and no one sees what's happening at the top. Each person is going into it with their own agenda and yet the top is laying down the format for a complete dictatorship. They are planning to take over the government. It's so obvious. The speeches from the activists sound like Jim Jones and they're offering their members up like sheep. They're sort of like in their own little cults but all of them getting together to follow their god. Oh my God! I know that only bad is coming. While the government has been long overdue to be revolted against, this is NOT the way. Our country is more divided than it has ever been. It's horrible. I definitely wouldn't drink the koolaid. So I have to not watch the news and try like hell not to think about what's going on. Otherwise I will want to hide away until it's over. But there's really nowhere to hide. Instead I play online and I read and I knit. I have the book Spud and Chloe at the Farm and would like to knit my way through it. I have knit up Chloe's body and need to start the rest.

Two down...

And one to go. I know I haven't posted in awhile, but really ... life is just normal. Knitting-wise I finally finished my exchange and mailed it -- Owling fingerless gloves. Made a teeny tiny Mochi Mochi chicken and made a Natural Suburbia maple leaf. Now that the weather is autmny, I can knit again! YEAH! But as for the two down ... last night I got a mistake phone call from Sue T. who I used to be friends with. Her daughter went all the way through school with Anthony. But over the years -- the kids have been out of school for almost 16 years! -- you fade out. We see each other a few times a year in passing -- say hello, we should get together, and go on. Well she called by accident and we had a nice time talking. Tonight I went to Cosmic and who should come in? Carol who I worked with 32 years ago at Charlton. What fun reminiscing. Imagine -- haven't seen each other in 32 years and both know Donna and are Cosmic memebers! So I'm thinking this week I'll get another blast from the past and it will be another wonderful conversation!
