August 31

36 years ago today, I was loved and in love. I was anxiously awaiting my baby. Everyone I loved was alive and well. Life was wonderful.

Tomorrow my boy will be 36. I so wish Allen were here.

AND my car is probably a goner. I'm trying to communicate with Key Hundai to see if I can get another but who knows.

August 30

I'm slowing down in posting since there's hardly anything to post. Although Allena did start kindergarten and is having a few difficulties. But hopefully they'll be straightened out soon.

In two days my baby boy will be 36 years old. How I wish his father could be here to celebrate. Daddy and Mommy too but that's reaching. Mommy would have been 101 this year. But Allen and Lou both should be here. This sucks.

The weekend was nice. Out with Sandy then here. Today we went up Arlene's for a Pampered Chef dem so we got to see everyone.

This morning I ran into Karen Adamcheck (I know I spelled that wrong) in Walmart and we had a nice long chat. She and Chris broke up. He broke up with her. What a crock. She's such a sweet girl. I'm hoping that she and I can get together now and then for coffee. She's a lot like me but much younger and prettier. LOL!! But she's not a person who goes after friends she waits until they come to her. That's really like me. So maybe we can be friends.

She said something so profound, because she said that fair has changed so much and she's not wanting to be part of it other than working in the pub. She does want to do some swordfighting but not like before and she wants to stay in practice. She's really good at it and she should.

But what she said was that there is no more Danny Miron -- Daniel Greenwolf ate him. Wow. Just wow!

August 26

So ...... nothing much going on. Called the urologist the other day and my next surgery is the 21st. The 11th is grandparent's day at St. M&M's and yes, Allena started kindergarten today. I can't believe it.

They're having a 70th birthday party for Sheila on October 23 in Prospect.

St. Maria Gorretti is coming to the US and going to be in Trumbul. I WILL be going to see her. They have her skeleton (most of it anyway) in wax so she looks like a wax figure. That's October 6th. I have to see if I can get off.

August 23

Didn't feel like typing this twice so I took it from my Facebook Post:

Started the day out with putting my Mr. Coffee thing on the Keurig machine after pouring myself a cup of coffee. Carol will never let me live it down. Then found out that there'd been a massive fire just up the street. My son-in-law and our neighbors all ran out at the same time thinking our houses were on fire. After they checked they realized the smoke was coming from down the street. Unfortunately a poor woman died. And I'm trying to figure out how my granddaughter, Jenna, and I slept through it. She spend the night and had to sleep in my bed with me. My room windows face the direction of the fire. Smoke was all over here outside and I had my fan on. You would think we'd have woken up from the smoke. Later went to a great talk on the Pequot Indian massacre at the Seymour Historical Society with my son. Except for the fire and the death, it was really great day.

August 21

Almost the end of August. It feels like just last week it was snowing. Time is flying way too fast.

Chris I went to the Elks for supper and stayed an hour or so. Then I came home and she went to the CWV.

August 20

Came home and took a nap. Carol made chicken and rice and peppers which was very good.

Supposed to be a good day. I was supposed to watch Allena so Carol and Anthony could go to the school for parent's night. He didn't sound like he cared much but he was going to go. Things changed when Allen put a plastic bag over her face and I told her to take it off and upset her. They were sitting right there and Carol saw just when I said it and told her to stop. Anthony got all snarky and said I should keep out of it and let her parents handle it.

That is two times the child was in danger and I stopped her. The other time was the cat was about to scratch or bite her because she was teasing him. Anthony said the same thing. Let her parents take care of it.

Well fuck that. I see a kid in danger, I'm not telling the parents first. First I'm going to stop whatever from happening. ANY child. I spent the evening in my room and have absolutely nothing to say to Anthony.

Twice was more than enough. He stayed home with Allena while Carol went to parents' night. I must be officially not babysitting anymore. God forbid -- I might save the child's life. I"m a little pissed but I'm not making a fuss unless something is said. Then I'll go off.

I don't need this shit. I will yell at a kid who's about to get hurt (I didn't even yell at Allena!) rather than let them get hurt. And if I wait for a parent, they child could be dead or hurt. So fuck them all.

August 17

Got my right side blasted, have a stent and am peeing blood but all is well. Can't drive for 24 hours.

Came home and napped and then Anthony came over with Molly for a bit. And Carol and Anthony seemed to be good with each other's company. I hope that means my prayers are being answered.

Couldn't go to the end of the winter reading program thing tonight because I can't drive (Anthony #2 said he'd drive me) but I also am not sure I was up to it.

Today was a good day.

August 16

Sandy and I went out like it was a Saturday. We went to Outback for lunch and then Walmart and Target. She and Tee are going to Salem at the end of September. Now if I want to go to Salem I won't have to feel guilty that I didn't ask her to go if I go with other people. :)

Went to Comicon at Mohegan with Margaret and her dad. What fun! I got my picture taken with the TARDIS and a Dalek and just had great time.

August 13

Home after work and here I've been. I'm hoping to go outside later to watch for meteor showers with Laura and Joel. I kept going out every night and didn't see anything. But they said they watched for at least an hour last night.

August 12

Allena is officially a St. Mary's Kid. We went to the orientation/ice cream social today. How awesome! I can't believe it!

August 11

I went to the urologist. I think he's a semi Whovian. LOL!! Anyway on Monday I have to go get my kidney stones laser blasted and pulverized. So I'll be taking Monday off. He scared me though. He gave me a prescription of Oxies and nausea meds in case I have an attack before Monday. All I know is I better not!!

Talked to my Anthony and he's loving his job. And he's working on trying to get a patent for his invention. His boss is encouraging him to do so.

August 10

Darlene's birthday. It's almost three years that she's been gone.

I got in trouble -- Anthony #2 is mad at me for yelling at Allena. I guess I was supposed to go get one of them and let the cat bite or scratch her since she was on my bed antagonizing him. Oh well. Too bad.

In real life a child is yelled at by whoever see's him or her about to get hurt or hurt someone. Deal with it.

Apparently they're going to be a helicopter couple.

August 8

Spent three hours at motor vehicles with Karla this morning and then out with Sandy for another few hours. Sandy and I went to the Red Barn thrift shop in Woodbury and the lady who's a Whovian and Harry Potter fan and I got to talking. She said I should do cosplay and that I could totally be Riversong. She made me feel so good because she had no clue that I would love to look like her and she's my favorite character on the show!!

August 7

Hyde's Pharmacy! That's where I first saw Allen. I'd walk by there on a Saturday night with Jeannie and glance inside and see a really, cute boy putting inserts in the Sunday paper's for the next day. Oh how I miss that boy. And that girl - Jean. And all the others.

August 6

After work Carol, Anthony, Allena and I went to the Holy Rosary festival. We ate and came home. Saw Mark Weissmann and Antonio and some Elks.

I forgot that yesterday was Judy's birthday so I didn't have a cake for her today when she got back from being off. So I made her pistachio thing tonight.

August 4

Went to the concert on the Green. Also stopped at the Elks to use the bathroom. They are in the middle of planning the lodge's 100th birthday. Yeah!! September 26 we'll have a block party with food trucks. I said I'd help.

August 3

Madeline's (NOT Madalene) real birthday, not August 5th. I wished her a happy birthday. Don't know if she replied.

Went to her cousin, Jeanie's, recycle craft class at the library. Then went to Susan's to walk the dogs with her.

They showed the apartment again today after work. I guess that's a good way to keep on top of cleaning.

August 2

Stayed home. Cleaned up in the kitchen as well I could. Went through one bag of papers - lots to go. Hung out online. Made shrimp salad on cucumber rounds. Yum!

August 1

Can't believe it's already August. I don't like summer but I don't like time flying by. Especially now that I'm older. Oh well!!

Carol, Allena and I went to Kohl's to buy some uniform shirts and then to Glennwood for lunch. Love that place.

Then home. Had to call Frontier because the internet's been really screwing up. Even they said I lost internet 793 times in July!! Supposedly it's fixed. We'll see.
