I can't believe how fast the year is going by. Tomorrow is April 1. Wow!

Laura, Joel and I went to the Center for a meeting that no one else showed up for. Then we went to the storage and got the rest of Carol's stuff.

March 30

I don't know what this date is but I keep feeling it's something important. It's not anyone's birthday or anniversary. What is it????

Came home after work and just stayed here.

March 29

What a day!!

Went to Naugatuck and picked up Jenna. We were going to grab a sandwich at the cigar store but they don't cook on Sunday. Meanwhile Timmy was texting that he'd be down to the Center soon. I asked him if he wanted me to pick him up because he thought he was going to eat at the cigar store too and we were headed to Duchess. So that's what we did. Good thing because Antonio was supposed to pick him up and Timmy couldn't get hold of him all day.

The even went great but we only had 40 kids. That was kind of sad but with the snow yesterday and the muddy ground I guess people just passed on it. One little boy slipped in a pile of mud and was covered. LOLOL!!

Then I drove Jenna back to Naugatuck and came back. Timmy came here for awhile while we waited for Laura and Joel and Jay to go do some stuff then we all went to Carol's storage place. Oh my God!! It was a maze. Literally. I thought we'd end up living there. We kept getting lost and getting hysterical and I laughed so hard I'm hurting. But we got most of Carol's stuff and will get the rest tomorrow or Tuesday after the meeting.

I bought a party pizza from Big Y and we ate at Laura's and I brought Timmy home and now I'm home relaxing with Ruffio.

March 28

Davin asked to borrow some money so I met with him this morning at the post office and gave him $50. He gave me wonderful news -- he's going to be a dad. His wife is due November 14. Lou would be so happy -- three grandchildren. I miss her.

Went to the Seymour library book sale and I got some books on herbs. One of them happened to be one that's on my list for the course. I have GOT to get my ass going on that course.

Then we went to Tea with Tracy - I'm so in love with that place.

After that we went to Ocean State, My Sister's Place and Target and then to Mass for Palm Sunday at St. Mike's. Then to eat at the Chinese Buffet.

I'm exhausted and just making myself stay awake until 10.

Oh got my invitation to Jaime and Freya's wedding today. It should be cool. The Harper and the Minstrel will be playing there. I'm wondering if it will be a handfasting.

Oh yea - turned the heat back on.

March 27

Didn't feel good today. Paulette came in at one and I left. Slept a bit. Feel better now. Hope I stay that way. I turned the heat off too.

Alderman meeting tonight. Saw Andy. He acts like we were never related but I hugged him anyway. LOL!!

Nothing but work and home. I like this life. :)

Worked. Then went to the post office, and the chiropractor. Ran to city hall to pick up the Cultural Commission's mail, went to the Eco Fest site and took pictures to email to Laura - it's pretty dug up down there, then to buy Chinese food and home.

I do love my life. :)

March 23

Talked to Donna and told her about the little apartment next door being for rent. (Mommy and Daddy's old apartment.) For $600-$650 she can't go very wrong. She's going to check into it.

Went to the library to see this guy who wrote a book about Lindley Street. It was definitely different. So much so that I was going to buy the book but when I pulled the coupons out of my pocket book and threw them on the kitchen table, I accidentally pulled the envelope with the money. Oh well!

March 22

What a wonderful day. Went up to Diana's beautiful new house and had my birthday. Even Michael came with baby Anthony. Jenna and her friend made me two heart-shaped chocolate cakes and a cinnamon cake. Kayla and Lia made me cards. Anthony gave me a powerful new vacuum cleaner. Then I went to Friendly's and had lunch with Sam - she bought it for me for my birthday.

I love my family.

March 21

A great day. Woke up and sat and read and had coffee. Then I got dressed and went to go clean off my car from yesterday's snow -- and it was snowing. LOL!! I LOVE winter!! Anyway, I cleaned off my car and went to get my papers and mail and came home.

Met Chris at the lodge at 3:30 - today was Installation of Officers. Yvonne and Spencer came down too. Made it perfect. And Yvonne bought me two coffee mugs for my birthday.

It was a very good day. Tomorrow I'm going to Naugatuck  because Jenna's baking me a birthday cake and my boy is home from out West.

It's snowing. It's the first day of spring. I love it! LOLOL!! All those people bitching and not being able to wait until spring and it's snowing. Probably the end of the snow but still!

Work. Home. Cooked. Ate. Relaxing. I love life! :)

March 18

Back to work and it's cold and windy. Really windy. It's so windy that right now I can feel wind in my bedroom. That hasn't happened all winter. Weird.

March 16 & 17

So yesterday (3/16) Sandy and I went up to the casinos - we had a nice time and I came back today around $180 down. But I had fun and that's all that matters.

This afternoon I went to Joann's and she made corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Mickey was there and their brother Mike, from England (still have to ask about that). What a wonderful time I had. I could spend all day and night talking with them. And they surprised me with a tiny cake and flowers and a card.

Then to the cultural commission meeting where Laura and Joel surprised me with a little cake. I can't believe what a wonderful day it's been.

My family all called me. Sam texted me and Jenna even called. She's baking me a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for Sunday.

March 14 & 15

Pretty much did the same thing both days sort of. Yesterday I ran a few errands and came home and stayed here. Watched tv. Putzed around.

Today I didn't go to Mass and I didn't leave the house. Did a few things, knit a little bit and that was that.

Interesting tidbit -- CTRF is moving their Robin Hood faire to the North Haven fairgrounds. YEAH!!

Friday, March 13

A very nice day indeed. After work I stopped home for a few and then went to meet Joann and her brother from England. I'll have to have her tell me how he came to be again. I know she told me when we first started getting together but I forgot. We had pizza at Zois and on Tuesday, Micky is coming down to get him and staying there a few days and Jo invited me over to eat. She figures around 3-4 p.m. If I'm back from the casino by then I'll go.

She said something I didn't know. She kept telling her brother about Mommy and Daddy and how welcoming they were to everyone. That I knew. But she said when they went to California, Bob lost his job and they lost their apartment and their car got repossessed and she was working for not much money and they couldn't make it. She said Daddy sent them money to buy bus tickets. It took four days for them to get here and they stayed with us for a week or so. I vaguely remember that part. And that's when Daddy bought the house on Smith Street. I remember them coming back but I didn't know all the rest.

Then I met Chris at the Elks and Vinny came down too. All I had was club soda. I just got home.

March 12

Nothing new. Everything's great. Took a bath and am watching tv. Pizza with Joann and her brother from England (haven't a clue where he came from) tomorrow night.

March 11

Back to work today. Paulette was out still so I was admin. assistant.  The work day went by fast. Then to see Dr. Raccio and home.

I turned the heat off so maybe it can stay off until next winter. We'll see. :)

March 10

Stayed home and brought the car to Raro's at 8:30 ish. It took them all day but they said it needed a gallon of coolant. I was walking home and I slipped on ice and landed on my back and smacked my head into a concrete jersey barrier. I'm fine. Nothing broken and nothing hurts.

BUT Dr. Raccio, my chiropractor says I have whiplash. And he wants to see me again tomorrow.

March 9

The car is acting up. I'm taking it to Raro's tomorrow. Hopefully it just needs something very minor like antifreeze.

Walked to the library -- it's not a bad walk -- for the end of the winter reading program. Then stayed until 8 p.m. so Antonio could give me a ride home.

Jeannie, from the Ansonia Animal Control was there and she said she'd be interested in doing something for the Eco Fest. Also she says she has a few pitties. I told her I'd get in touch with her after my birthday next week.

March 7 & 8

Totally missed today - I'm still awake so even though it's the 8th now, it's still the 7th for me.

Sandy and I went to Common Bond and I bought another bottle of raw milk which I seem to be able to drink with no problems at all. Then I went to Shop Rite and now I have a ton of stuff to do tomorrow -- cook stuff, clean out the freezer, food save stuff and re pack the freezer so stuff fits.

Then we're going to the Historical Society's annual board meeting.

I'm not going to Mass. I commune with God at home on Sundays when I don't get to mass. I hope it's ok with Him.

Went to the meeting. It was ok. Volunteered to work the tea in July. That way I'll be doing something good and won't have to pay. I can't afford it!

We had a cultural commission meeting tonight. Just got home

March 6

Time is flying again. Geez. Soon it will be Easter and then Christmas.

It's the weekend. I am home. Chris just wanted to meet at the Elks without eating so I told her I was staying home. Bleh!

March 5

A quiet day. I called in a PL day because it was snowing to where I didn't think the roads were safe for me. At 8:00 I get the text saying work is closed. WTF? So anyway it snowed lightly all day and my car is covered. I am hoping for a delay tomorrow so I don't have to be out there at 6 a.m. cleaning off the car. Actually if they do call a delay, I'll be out there cleaning the car when the text comes. LOL!!

Made pumpkin bread for Joel and hope he comes to get it before it rots. It's the last one of the season.

Made clam fritters that came out so-so.

That's about it.

March 4 - Tony and Timmy

Rita called. Tony may have cancer. Something about his vertebrae and blood. I couldn't understand her very well  because she was crying so hard. She told me I can't tell anyone and, of course, she's not going to tell Lindsey. Until they know for sure.

And our cousin Gloria died. Gina Coscia's daughter. Only 50. I found out because I got a Facebook invite to her graveside service tomorrow at 1 p.m. WTF? I hadn't seen her in so many years I wouldn't recognize her but she was still my cousin's daughter. :(

We had a three hour delay today because of icky roads. It snowed and rained last night. Roads were fine driving in and home though. It's like 40 degrees out there.

Supposed to storm again tomorrow.

Arlene just sent me a pm. Tim is going to be getting a bone marrow transplant. Wtf.

March 3

Uncle Tom's birthday and I totally forgot it's Carol's first anniversary. What kind of mother am I? She actually had to tell me to remind me. :(

Weather is bad -- snow/rain mix. I'm hoping for yet another day off tomorrow. We'll see!!!

March 2

Work was delayed until 11 a.m. but the day turned out to be beautiful. There were snow showers all the way to work but pretty and light. I will miss this winter. It has been truly wonderful.

Oh well. What can you do. I do look forward to spring as I look forward to every day in my life.

Went to the library for the Women's Group and found out it was canceled due to the weather. Not sure what was wrong with the weather. I got a book and visited with Antonio and his co-worker for a bit and came home.

Oh yeah -- when I was cleaning off my car this morning, Linda Coppola, the principal of St. Mary-St. Michael's School stopped on the highway and got out of her car and handed me a cheesecake. She said I won it in the raffle at the pasta dinner Sunday. I asked why she didn't just call me and she said she didn't have my number. Told her my number was on the ticket along with my name. LOL!! Anyway, I brought to work.

Then I get a PM from Marc saying I must be lucky because he won a box of candy and we had both said we never win anything. So I told him I won too. LOL!

March 1

45 years ago today. It was a Sunday. 10 p.m. The night that changed my life forever. That's when I agreed to date Allen. What a journey it's been.

Anyway -- didn't go to Mass. Went to the laundromat but stopped the drying cycle early because it was snowing. It's still snowing and so far Bob hasn't canceled or delayed work. I plan on going in with Judy tomorrow.
