Almost done and Facebook Dudes and stuff

Haven't written in awhile even though I had decided to write something every single day, meaninless or not, for a year. I slacked. Even on the meaninless stuff.

But first I'll say I'm almost done with my pairs exchange and have to mail that out soon. The weather has turned and now I can knit to my heart's content. Got my partner for the Christmas swap on Ravelry and have started stalking. This is going to be fun.

I am NOT political. I have always hated politics and I don't believe in parties so I'm registered independent. But I always try to help out the candidate I feel will be best for us. This year, as I have since he first started running, I've volunteered to help our current mayor, Tony.

This is the first fundraiser I've ever attended of his though. For the Republican party period. I've gone to the Democratic town committee ones and last year got to shake hands with Ted Kennedy, Jr. That was awesome. But this year I'm so pissed at Democrats that I wouldn't go if the queen of England were there!

Anyway the dinner was awesome. I ushered. We had tons of people and it was like old home time for me. People who lived in the neighborhood when I was growing up. Four of my high school classmates. Lots and lots of familiar faces. I wanted to cry!

And then Linda McMahon! She's such a tiny person but so BIG in charimsa. She's running for senate again and hopefully will win this time. But best of all Facebook dudes! For real. I mean these two guys are really high up there, they either invented and run it or close to it. One of them looks like a young Al Pacino. The other one is actually from Derby and his parents are here. When I heard what they do, I just said, THANK YOU!! I love you! LOLOL!!!

A totally awesome night in all!
