Home again. It's as if they never left. I'm so happy to have them home! And Allen is a little girl now. No more toddler. I'm so happy!

Carol and Anthony and Allena are on their way up here. Samantha is in Florida. Daryl is moving to Ohio. I can't keep up with it all!!

I went to Susan's today to help her a big with her rental apartment. To me it stinks like cat pee but she said it was dogs. I mopped the floor real good with Odoban and I think that helped a bit. We have to do something with the carpets because they stink too.

Then she and I and Ian went to the Master's Table to eat. Next month we'll start helping out. I asked Tom what he, as a pastor, believes about corporal punishment and he said "An eye for an eye." I don't understand Christianity any longer. Only Christ.

June 27

Derby Day is done for this year. I was so exhausted last night I forgot to post. The day went great except for the fact that I fell while holding little Jacob Joel, Laura's baby, and thankfully he didn't get hurt. Just scared. Very scared. I think I'm pretty banged up but as long as he's ok it doesn't matter.

Jenna did great and Antonio had to drive us to Naugatuck to bring her home because when I fell the lens came out of my glasses. Then we went to Rite Aid and got a little screwdriver and superglue to fix them.

Today I was going work around her to get ready for my Carol to come home but I have to go help Susan fix up her apartment that she has to rent. Then I'm doing the Master Table community meal.

So whatever I do will have to be after work tomorrow. And I'm off Tuesday. They should be here tomorrow night. YEAH!

I also have to go buy a blow up mattress so they have something to sleep on.

June 26

Worked until 4 again today. I have to remember to go to the post office tomorrow. Went to Naugatuck and got Jenna. Then we went to Friendly's to see Sam and eat. Arlene met us there. It was nice to sit with her a bit.

Then we went to the arts center to meet with the others for a while. Derby Day is tomorrow. I really pray it doesn't rain and it's a big success!

Less than a week and Carol will be home. I am taking Tuesday off so I can spend some time with them. :)

Back to work but it felt like a Monday. Tomorrow is pay day and I'll be a little closer to paying off some debt. Then, as usual, I'll be broke. LOL!!

Carol and family will be home on Monday -- late. I can't even take the day off or Tuesday off because Paulette will be off all week, I think. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it.

Derby Day is Saturday so Friday we have to have a little meeting and set up the spaces.

June 23

Didn't accomplish much of anything this morning but left at 12:30 to take Sandy to get her foot surgery. While I was waiting for her to be ready to come home, I went to A.C. Moore's and Harmons.

Then we when we were at Rite Aid waiting for her prescription, the sky opened up and it thundered and lighteninged and was beautiful. It's still hot and humid though.

So the cake was awesome and my friend Jack is no longer my friend. According to him all I do is drink and sit in back rooms and talk shit about Obama and am a racist. The man has lost his mind. Oh well!!

Went to Rich's ice cream in Oxford with Chris and Marcia. Yum!

The summer equinox and the first day of summer and I've got freaking ants all over the window sill in the kitchen and they keep getting on the sink. ACK! Went and bought Borax and they're dying in it but I doubt they're taking any home.

Baked a triple chocolate poke cake for Paul's birthday at work tomorrow. I think it might have come out awesome!

June 20

Sandy and I spent a good three hours at faire talking with a mess of people. I bought some smoked salt - now I have to figure out what to use it on. Oh my God, it smells so good!!!

Went to the rib dinner at the Elks. There was so much I brought half home.

June 19

I am so very tired. Which is horrible because I have a lot to do to get the place ready for Carol to come home. Grrrrrrrrr!

Worked and barely stayed awake. Went to the Elks for supper and barely stayed awake. It's 8:49 and I"m going to take my meds and go to bed by 10

Told Chuck and his wife, Kimberly (?) about Carol and Ant and Laney so now everyone in the house knows. Can't wait until they come home.

Antonio and I are going to Soupstock on Sunday - at least that's the plan. That's one place I'd go to myself if I had to but I don't want to. Now that I'm thinking about it, I hope Sandy doesn't think I'm going to faire with her on Sunday. That's like the only day she can go. But she does all sorts of stuff on her own so she shouldn't mind.

Told Rich that Carol and Anthony are coming. They'll be here at the end of the month. He said he'll have to raise the rent a bit to cover water. I told him no problem.

That's it. I am very excited for them to come home. I have lots of crap to do around here but no ambition. Grrrrrrrr!!!

Another glorious day. Rainy and crazy at work but still good. Carol will be home in a few weeks. I still have to get my couch and do some major decluttering around here. I'll get it done.

The Ides of June. Not as famous as the Ides of March, but still June is halfway done. This year is blowing by fast. *sigh*

Carol should be home in a few weeks. I can't wait to see them. I can't wait to see my Laney Bug. She was a baby when they left.

Library tonight -- all about cooking with lemons. Very good. Much better than I thought it would be.

Mommy. Fr. John. Donna. They all died today on different dates. Happy birthday Timmy. I didn't call him. I've called him several times since he got sick but he's never called me so I don't know that he wants to hear from me.

I went to breakfast with Susan. Her mother abuses her. Imagine being 60 and getting punched by your mother. AND getting nasty letters. Wow.

Then Daryl came over - he's selling Cutco now and of course I bought two knives.

Diana and James bought a pool and Anthony and all of them found a wonderful place to fish and swim and Bethany so maybe I can go to these places. No one ever invites me although Diana did say I can go to the pool.

Did my best with the swap and now have other people checking for errors.

I had to put the fan on tonight. It's almost 10 p.m. and it's 75 degrees out. Ugh.

Chris isn't feeling well so we didn't go out. I went grocery shopping and came home and stayed home. Daryl called me - he's selling cutco knives now. God help me, I told him he could come over Sunday and talk about the knives to me. At least I don't have to have a dem and hopefully I can get away with not spending any money.

Worked then home and then cultural commission meeting. Lots of work needs to be done for that.

Talked to my Laney Bug for a minute. She was sad because her aunt wouldn't spend time with her. I told her to come here and I'd spend time with her. I miss them all so much. I hope they really are coming home.

Worked today, of course and that's about it. Except there was a spider that ran across my desk. Now I'm going to be paranoid for a bit. I hate that.

We published the mini swap today and already have 41 people signed up. This is going to be fun and hopefully I won't screw it up.

I gained almost two pounds from last week. Last week I was down a pound from the week before. I really need to do something about this.

June 7

What a great weekend all in all. I don't give a crap about people blowing me off because my life is full without them.

Met Yvonne (a little late) at Hamden Hall. They had already started the games so I went to help her out. Peggie was there and she was all happiness and light. Yeah! I hope we can be friends again but without her being so cloying. If she calls me, I won't avoid her calls. We'll see.

Then Yvonne and I went to Ihop again but for lunch. After that, when we were going to our cars, someone called my name -- it was Lionel, one of our custodians. It's nice that we know our coworkers.

So I asked Mia if she wanted the CTRF tickets but she said she had to do Seymour Founders Day. She told me to ask Rachel. I texted her but she had gone yesterday. I was NOT going to try to track down Antonio. So I went to Founder's Day and the first person I see is Lee and she was done passing out her cards and on her way out headed to CTRF. I gave her the tickets. She was thrilled.

Saw the usual rennies at Founder's Day - Jim, Danny, Matt, Nick, etc., etc., etc. But at one point I heard someone call my name. I turned around and it was Marcie just standing there smiling. I went over and said hi how are you but that was it. I don't know what she expected but she wasn't getting a hug from me. Then I turned around and went over and hugged Matt.

Came home and corresponded with my helpers for the Midsummer Mini Swap at TOK and came up with what to post and posted it. The swap is officially on!

Ok. I almost forgot. I talked to Sandy and she said she found a pea sized lump in her breast. She's going to call the breast center tomorrow. Please God, let it be nothing. :(

I am NOT going to let myself be down. Screw them all. Yvonne and I did the special olympics and will be going back tomorrow.

Susan had asked me yesterday if I wanted to go hiking up Sleeping Giant today. I told her I couldn't because of the special olympics and then afterwards I was going to the renn faire with Antonio. Then I see Antonio is fucking going hiking with her. So I sent him a PM and he said they'd be done by 10 a.m. and of course he was going to the faire. So today I call him at 11:30 when we are done. No answer to PM, phone or texted. I finally get hold of him when I'm home later and they're still at Sleeping Giant and why don't I go up. Fuck that. Supposedly we're going to faire tomorrow. If not, and if I don't go alone and give someone in line a ticket, I'm burning the fuckers and this will be the last time I do anything for anyone else but myself.

Work as usual. The place up the corner from work opened a new restaurant and we ordered food. I got shrimp and it was big and fresh and delicious. Hopefully the place sticks around awhile.

Supposed to go to the renn faire after the Special Olympics thing with Antonio tomorrow. But he's going hiking with Susan first so we'll see.

Happy anniversary to Mommy and Daddy in Heaven. Miss you much.

Worked today, of course. And my new toaster/convection oven came today. It seems to work great and it didn't blow a fuse like the microwave does.

There was more I wanted to say but naturally I can't remember what it was.

Interesting day. I started out by getting pulled over for speeding (53 in a 40 mph zone) on Pulaski. I got a verbal warning. And going 40 the rest of the way to work was slower than walking. Or at least it seemed like it.

Then Margaret sent me a Facebook thing saying that Alex Kingstone (Riversong) is going to be at the Rhode Island Comic Con. RIVERSONG!! Oh my God! So in addition to seeing Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) and Hellboy and the woman from S.H.I.E.L.D., I'm going to see the best of all == RIVERSONG.

Then Donna picked me up and left Spike here and we went to the Elks for Cosmic.  Nothing new there.

But a great day all in all. Thank you God.

Hoping and praying Carol comes home. She wants to come home. I want her to come home. I need my family close by - not scattered all over. I don't know how Nona Rosa did it.

No meeting tonight so I'm putzing on the computer and maybe will read or watch tv. With all the stuff I have to do around here, I do nothing. LOL!

First day of June. Time really is flying.

After work I went to Aldi's for coffee - I was out and had to go to the convenience store on the way to work for coffee. Then came home and cooked up some stuff.

Then I met Susan at the library to make summer poem/quote scrolls. I also met the guy from My Master's Table and told him I wanted to volunteer for that.

Then home.
