I talked to Anthony and he didn't go back to the oil wells. He's now jobless. I hope he finds something he can love and that will support him and give him benefits.

A big black bear was spotted in the trails in Huntington. Judy says it was right where she rides her bike!!

Normal day. Came home and stayed home. :)

April 27 & 28

I guess every other day will be the norm now. I forgot again last night. I went to Stacey's cooking thing at the library. Last night it was spring soups and I actually ate, and liked asparagus soup. Amazing!! It even had shaved Parmesan cheese as a garnish. And I loved it!

Tonight we're supposed to be having a cultural commission meeting. Maybe checking out the Eco fest site. That should be in about half an hour.

April 26

Forgot to hit snooze this morning so I didn't make it to Mass. If I don't go to 8:00, I don't go at all. Went down to the Elks and met up with Susan and Ian and Susan's mom. We had a nice breakfast and a nice talk. Then we all went back to their house and Susan, Ian and I went for a walk. Next week we're going to do the Kellogg Center.

We were supposed to have a cultural commission meeting but Laura forgot so that's going to be Tuesday. So I've been home now reading and eating. Hopefully I'll get food and clothes ready for morning.

April 25

Here I go. I'm forgetting to post daily. Not that I write anything of interest but I would like to do it every day.

Chris and I went to Dew Drop for awesome wings last night and then to the Elks. I left there around 9 and came home. That was it.

Today Sandy and I went to a flew market at Ansonia High and then the Seymour Library monthly book sale and then to eat and then a few stores in Seymour. Talked to Anthony. He might not be going back tomorrow - or at all. I hope he knows what he's doing, because I can't pay his portion of the bills.

And that's it for today, I think.

Tomorrow morning is Mass and then the Elks for breakfast. Then Susan and I are doing the Riverwalk and then at 2 we have to meet the others at the Eco Fest site. A full day!

April 23

Administrative Professional Day at work today. I went to the luncheon with Mickey. The speaker was Heidi Voight - past Miss Connecticut and current new reporter. Excellent speech.

April 22

Worked until 4 today and then went to Stop & Shop. They're going to be working on the railroad tracks starting Friday and closing Division from Pershing to the top heading towards work. I'm wondering how anyone can go to Stop & Shop and BJs and McD's? I know it's only for about a week but still ...

Nothing different yesterday or today. Life is good though.

April 19

Went to Freya's shower and had a nice time even though I didn't know anyone but Jaime, his mother and his sister and he was the only one who talked to me. LOL!!

Arlene just put on Facebook that it's been 23 years since Ma died. TWENTY-THREE years! That means tomorrow is 23 years since Daddy's been gone. Where has the time gone?

I still miss them. And Allen too.

Oh and I am having a "discussion" with the Warren's Facebook -- or Dan Rivera's. To the point that I am claiming that Annabelle is a hoax and am so disappointed in the Warrens. Dan actually called me twice in a row since I didn't answer. It had to be him and he left a message but it wasn't from his cell. He calls the Warrens his family so it may have been from Lorraine's house. I haven't listened to the message. Maybe tomorrow.

April 17 & 18

I didn't post last night because I got home after 1 a.m. So this is for both days.

After work I came home and waited for Anthony & Karla. We went up to the casino. By the time we got there (7:00?) the line for the Wolf Den was already quite long. So they went off to play slots and I stayed in line. Met a couple behind me who had come all the way from near Boston to come see Home Free.

After a short wait they told us the Wolf Den was full and we could stay or leave - because there were some reserved seats and if they weren't filled by 8:15 they'd take people from the line. So we stayed. I was only nine people from the front and the lady behind me was going to pitch a fit if they didn't get in. So I did the only thing I thought was right. I called Anthony and Karla and told them keep enjoying themselves because if I got in and had two extra spaces, I was taking the people from Boston. LOL!!

As luck would have it, they started calling people in at 8:15. They got all the people in front of us and then said they wanted two people so the ones in back of me jumped in. Then they said one and I said that's me and in I went. They seated the three of us together. What a fantastic concert Home Free put on. I will somehow see them every time they come up this way. I really like them alot. The show was only an hour but it was worth the wait in line too.

Today Sandy and I went to her friend Arlene's brother's funeral Mass and then we went to Longhorn and Walmart. It was 74 degrees out and breezy and dry. A perfect day.

April 16

Home Free tomorrow night, I hope. Haven't heard from Anthony yet. So we'll see. I sure hope we're going.

Didn't sleep much last night so today I laid down when I came home from work. I don't think I slept but I didn't get up until after 8pm.

April 25

The months are flying past. Today I went to Shoprite and picked up a few things, came home and here I sit.

April 14

Cultural Commission meeting -- me, Antonio, Laura and Joel in Laura and Joel's camper. It's a beautiful night and it was nice sitting out there. :)

April 13

Another nice night with no commitments -- no meetings, no library stuff, no anything. Picked up pizza from Zois on the way home, gave Antonino a ride to his car - it got towed for parking in the plaza on the Green. Not good. Came home, ate and have been watching tv ever since.

April12

Stared the day with Mass - yeah me. Hopefully I can do this every Sunday. Then went to the Elks for breakfast - it was me, Yvonne, Calvin, Ian and Sue. We had a very nice breakfast. Then I went to do laundry and then to Sue's. She and I and her dog, Penny, went down to the very short Ansonia riverwalk and walked it.

Am home now. I'm hoping to make something mushroomy -- maybe that dip and crostini so I don't waste the bread I bought.

We shall see!

April 11

Sandy has a cold so I had the day to myself. Went to do the usual -- post office, newspapers, gas. Ran into Calvin at the post office, then I called Yvonne to see if she wanted to go to the Elks breakfast. She said yes, so I told her to let Calvin know in case he wants to go too.  Then I went to Stop & Shop and spent too much as usual. LOL!!

Came home and tore apart the cabinet - at least I have the bottom shelf fixed up with all my spices. Top shelf with chips and stuff but have two more in between to go and a ton of stuff I don't know where to put.

Tomorrow is Mass, Elks, laundry and hopefully a bunch of cooking for work for the week.

I also read and took a nap. I love my life!

Missed a day but it was just a normal day like today. Came home and stayed here. Both days. :)

Carol called and said she's going to stay at Bubba's and I shouldn't get a dog and I would have Zooey. Geez!! I just hope the dog doesn't pee everywhere.

Went to the library to the reuse, recycle thing.

April 6

So Carol called and said they hope to be up here within a few months and are going to stay with me. She wants to sue Renee for the rights to Allen's books. She's going to call Alan Tyma. She wants Anthony in with it too. I don't know what's in her heard. All I know is that I want my family TOGETHER.

April 5

Carol and Laney called me for Easter. Anthony didn't. He's clueless.

Sandy and I went to Cracker Barrel and then to a few stores. I bought some books and stuff.

I have a ham and potatoes baking in the oven right now. Don't feel like making deviled eggs or potato salad so I'll use the eggs during the week.

And I did go to 8:00 Mass. Started my Easter Sunday right. Hopefully I will continue.

It has been a great weekend. :)

And I just got a call from Carol saying she wants to be back here within two months and plans on staying here so I shouldn't get a dog just yet because she's allergic to pitts. Oh boy. This should be interesting. She agrees that she treated me like crap when we lived together before. Now if she and her brother could mend their issues, my life will be complete.

April 4 - Mom's 101st birthday & quote to remember.

Went to the 5k walk and saw a ball in the middle of the road down there. At first I thought it was tumbleweed but we don't have tumbleweed here that I know of. At that point Arlene drove up and we got out to look. It was what I thought was a hedgehog. So freaking cute. Anyway I put on gloves an carried him to the top of the hill where he would be safe. And he stayed there all morning. I kept checking on him but all he'd do is pick up his head and look. Finally I called the Nature Center and they told me to bring him there. He actually might be a beaver or a woodchuck. Whatever he is, he's so cute. I named him Hoggy. LOL!!!

Today Mommy would have been 101. I do miss her.

Went to Chris' for dinner -- ham and kielbasa and potato salad - all blessed at church this morning.

April 3

Good Friday. Went and did laundry and some grocery shopping. Then to pick up cocktail shrimp at Szabos for Chris' house. Then to Chris' and then to the Elks and now home.

Timmy's transplant went well and he's up and about.

Praise God!!

Tomorrow I have to be down at the Riverwalk by BJ's for 7:30 to help out with Walt Mayhew's 5k walk. And then back to Chris' tomorrow night for Holy Saturday dinner.

April 2

Quick day at work. Judy brought me in and then we went to the dollar store on the way home and then home. Went to city hall with Laura and Jay and then to Raro's to get my car. The "around $100" turned into $175 but that's because he put a new thermostat in while he was in there. Hopefully that will be it for the next year or so.

April 1

Cosmic meeting. Just me, Donna and Margaret at the Elks. It was nice though.

Donna looked at the apartment next door but didn't like it. It is very run down and tiny. But I went over to see it and stand where my Mommy and Daddy stood when they were first married.

Timmy will be having a stem cell transplant on Friday. Chemo tomorrow . There were able to collect enough stem cells today for the transplant. I think he's producing his own. I am praying for him.
