July 31

Last day of July - heading into August. It was the second full moon of the month tonight and I couldn't find it. LOL!!

Chris and Marcie and I went to the Dew Drop. Chris paid and I had a $10 off coupon from Restaurant Depot.

Tomorrow Karla and Big Mike are going to Wallingford to look at cars where I bought mine. If they find one they like (for Anthony), they'll come get me and we'll go do the paperwork and stuff. Anthony loves his new job and he's screwed without a  vehicle. The Jeep finally bit the dust.

Then Carol and I are going to go to Kohls to get uniform stuff for Allena. I can't believe she's starting school.

July 30

Almost the end of the month. It's raining and we had a few rumbles of thunder. Went to work. Came home. And that's it.

July 29

Blessings -- I took the day off from work and we went to bring the paperwork to get Allena in St. Mary's-St. Michael's. Then we took her to the library to get a book on going to the dentist. I paid our car taxes - first half anyway so that if Anthony has to get a car in my name, we're all set. When we came home Carol got a call for an interview from temp agency -- for a job at Yale hospital in Guilford.

We neatened like crazy because Rich is starting to show the apartments to people. I sure hope no one wants it until we have the money to buy our own place.

July 28

Judy's still going to push for an upgrade for the both of us. Even if I don't get it, it's nice knowing she'll do that.

Just got home from work and there's a guy looking at the house. He's going to have his realtor check it out. Also Rich is bringing a realtor tomorrow so I took off from work so we can straighten this mess out.

Chuck is suppose to come look at the sink and stuff so I probably won't be going to the concert tonight.

July 27

Allena got accepted into St. Mary-St. Michael's along with a $500 scholarship and all up front fees waived. Thank you Lord!!

Carol and Anthony are applying all over for jobs. I'm praying that they both get work soon. We can't afford to pay tuition and bills and stuff.

Rich called and said he's bringing a realtor over on Wednesday. The place is up for sale for $99k which is really cheap. So we'll have to save up to get out of here too.

I did like it here. I know they don't but it's my place.

Some guy fell asleep at the wheel around 1 a.m. last night and smashed into the car next door. He's ok but I think the neighbor's car is totaled.

July 26

What a great day! It rained but we went up to The Book Barn anyway and spent the entire day going from one 'barn' to another. We ate at Village Pizza right between Barn 4 and the Main barns. It looked like a dive but the food was fantastic!

It was a great day -- lots of family time. Lots of books. And then sun came out. :)

July 25

Went to the All Ansonia tag sale today with Sandy. She's doing good but is using a cane. The tag sales were pretty crappy this year. Only 26 homes with not much stuff. I got a few things for Carol and Allena and that's it.

Then we roamed downtown Ansonia a bit after going to the diner and the dollar store.

Tomorrow Carol and Anthony and Allena and I are going to The Book Barn.

July 24

Went to work and came home. Love being home. Chris didn't want to go out tonight because she wasn't getting paid.

July 23

We charged up a storm tonight. Went to get a Mr. Coffee but we also got a dual Ninja -- hopefully it will help me get healthier.

Went to the doctor and she wants me to lose weight. She also wants me on mega doses of vitamin D and I have to see a urologist about my kidneys. BUT my blood pressure is back down to a decent place thanks to the meds.

We also went to Ruby Tuesdays for supper -- with tip it cost me $100.03. Ugh!

July 22

Full day at work but now I have two students to help catch me up with work orders. The president's office has two students with nothing to do at the moment and they are excited to help out. YEAH!

Then Chris and I went to The Bernadettes at the Ansonia "green". I felt bad because Jimmy came up to me and said hi and remembered my name and where I'm from but then I got distracted by seeing Judy Nicolari who had gotten hurt and started talking to her about how well she's healed and he left. Hopefully next time he'll let me say hi.

We sat with Patty Villars and her husband and Rich DeCarlo and his wife and Tommy. I had a really nice time and the music was fantastic as always.

July 20 & 21

So I went to Mystic with Margaret and her dad and we had a really nice time. I bought a membership so now I get in for free for a year. Not bad if I can get there.

Today was work as usual and then the concert on the Green. Anthony called and said he's got a good job in cabinetry making which I know he used to love. I hope he stays with it. They do places like Gucci and high end NY hotels.

Thank you, Lord for that one!

July 19

Went to Mystic with Margaret and her dad. We had a great time. I got a membership so I can go for free whenever I want now. They had a huge Civil War encampment and a battle. Lots of fun!

July 18

Went to the Horror Fest -- had a great time with Margaret. On the way back we ate the Blue Colony Diner. I love that place!

Then went to Chris' for awhile and came home.

Tomorrow we might be going to Mystic for a Civil War reenactment.

July 17

It was so cool this morning that I wore a long sleeve shirt to work. It's been a great summer so far.

Went with Chris and Marcia to Duchess then BJs and then Stop & Shop. Then Chris and I went down to the Elks for a bit. I went down to the Gallery and watched some of their stuff. There was a girl who I knew HAD to be Kelley from the old faire doing a monologue. She was great and it really was her. She has a theater group that is based out of the Arts Center.

Margaret is picking me up at 10 in the morning to go to the horror fest and then, if I'm home early enough, I have to go to Chris' party.

7/15 & 7/16

Same old, same old. Oh -- Lindsey had her baby on the 15th at midnite - just after the 14th. Little boy.

Carol made chicken cutlets for supper last night. The house is in chaos. But I love having them home.

Sue and I walked the dogs from her house to the Green and back last night. That was fun.

Nothing but work today and sitting here tonight. But it's pretty cool out and I love that!

July 13

Took the day off to do the historical society tea. I had a great time and got to escort "Helen Keller" down to where she was talking. I helped out all over the place but still had to pay. Oh well!!

Then Susan and I went to the police commissioner's meeting to tell them we want to do something to show our support for the cops. We'll see on that.

July 12

Went hiking in Monroe/Trumbull with Susan. We walked about four miles total and it was so much fun. Beautiful trails. I would like to do that way more often.

Tomorrow I'm off - helping at the tea for the historical society. Helen Keller will be the speaker. Should be fun!

July 11

Didn't get out of bed until 11. Then I knit a little and went to Panera's for a sandwich. Ate half for lunch and half later. Supper was the Chinese buffet. There's still some left over.

Carol and family have been gone since early this morning and won't be home until late, late. She's at the Adina Menzel concert right now. Chris and Amber got comp tickets.

No. They just came home. She didn't go to the concert.

July 10

Wow! I don't remember when I last posted. But normally there's nothing to post about. But I spent about a week in bed -- missed the fireworks and everything. BAD cold. Then went to work Monday and left after three hours. Back home to bed. Was still sick on Tuesday. Wednesday I stayed home but felt better. Me, Roseann and Chris went up to Yvonne's - Joey and Liz and Ray and Patty and Debby and Mike went up. All of a sudden I was feeling in pain and stuff.

Ended up having Roseann and Chris take me to Griffin. Carol - they came home last Monday -- met me there. I had renal colic and my blood pressure was total danger level 178/97. So I went to work Wednesday then to see Dr. Jag. Blood pressure is down but only by about 10 points so she put me on meds. Ugh.

Anthony came by today and he and Carol acted like humans and he was so happy to see Allena.

Life is good.

July 5

Bed still. Bathroom. A little to eat an back to bed.

Still sick. Felt a little better so I went to do laundry. Still hvae more to do. Came home, wet back to bed and woke up at 7 p.m. Now I want to go bck to bed. I don't feelw ell

July 3

So everyone's settled in and it's wonderful to have my family one. Hopefully Anthony will come by at some point too.

I have been having problems getting online but we can't deal with that until we clean up the giant mess around here.

And I've got my annual mega-cold - in July instead of October or November. I felt like sit at work but had to be there because Paulette was off. Came home and went to bed and really didn't get up until this morning.
