I'm in a knitting exchange and am on target so far. I finished knitting a little bowl and just have to felt (full) it. I'm knitting a pair of Fetching for the exchange also -- one mitt down and half of one to go! And the colors are gorgeous. I WILL remember to post pictures when I'm done. I do plan on putting a few more little knitted items into the package if I have time before it has to be mailed out.
Best of all -- got a call from Denise, my heart sister and life long friend. We haven't seen each other in nine years since we live on opposite coasts. She asked me what I was doing this weekend -- last time she asked me a question like that I had to go pick her and her daughters up at a truck stop on the Jersey turnpike. LOL!! Anyway she's between treatments and decided to come 'home' for a visit for a few days. She'll be spending Monday with me. I can't wait!
I have a massive list of patterns I want to knit -- is there enough time in the world? I will be off work for a few weeks starting September 9 because of foot surgery so I hope to get a lot done during that time.
Sammy started school today. It feels strange having a 12 year old in the house again and getting into the school routine. It's been 12 years since I had that!!
Oh and the last great thing so far this week is that we got an email at work saying Connecticut Hall will be celebrating it's grand opening tomorrow. I've gone all summer without eating there and can't wait!!

Bad blogger!
I don't remember to blog. I don't have time to do anything. Is there a way to get more hours in a day? Wish I could quit work and do other things!
I'm still knitting and reading and Elking and, of course, working. Going to Toronto next week. I'm taking my laptop, maybe I can remember to write in here then.
I've even forgotten to add to my "read in 2008 list" and there's been a bunch more books I've read. *sigh*
Maybe it's the divorce stress that's making me forget. At least that would give me an excuse.

I did it!
I haven't blogged in forever but I need to put this in my memory bank. LOL!! I just masted a new knitting technique in about 10 minutes. I'm so proud of me!
I want to make a Sit-Ster from The Natural Knitter but it calls for double knitting. So being clueless I googled and came up with this: Subersive Knitting. And it's sooooooo easy!
YEAH ME!

Upheaval
There seems to be upheaval everywhere. Friends who dump all of their friends at one time. Faire's who lose their kings plus some other members. The lodge who lost their House Committee and have more than one person running for one office.
Life is way more interesting than TV, that's for sure!!
I haven't done any knitting but hope to get to some this weekend.
I usually have been going out on Friday and Saturday nights but after last week's meeting that may have changed. I'm not sure about tonight. Tomorrow is still karaoke but I don't know who will be going.
Should be interesting!

Missed a few days
Well there's really not a whole lot to talk about either. I went to the Medieval feast at Centerstage on Friday. It was great but I knew it would be. Sandy and I were the only ones in garb but we expected that. As soon as we walked in Matt handed me a camera and asked if I'd be the official picture taker. And of course I said yes. They did a fantastic job!
Tonight is the regular lodge meeting at the Elks and it should be very interesting. I plan on going there after bringing the aunt to get her hair done. :)

Three in a row!
Woooo hoooo!! LOLOL!!
Looked at some patterns. Ok, I looked at a LOT of patterns and want to knit tons of things. We'll see. I am going to try to use up some stash too.
Going to sit and knit a bit and watch tv tonight. It's 14 degrees out. So I'm staying in!

Day 2
I wonder if I can keep this up? Two days in a row!! LOL!!
Nothing to post about though.
Except -- I'm going to try to remember to go to Curves on Monday. I joined in August, went two days, and that was the end of it. And I'm still paying because you lock in for a year. So I really, really should go back!

2008
And I almost put 1988! LOL!!
I archived my 'read books' list for 2007 and realized I read 35 books! That's great! Hopefully I can read that many or more this year.
Knitting -- I just signed up for the spring exchange at K&C and am trying to finish up some UFOs. I knit up some mini mittens one day last week when I was home from work and they came out really cute.
My camera is dead so there will be no pictures for a while.
What I'd like to do is keep this blog going all year if possible.
No resolutions. I hate resolutions. I never remember to keep them!
The year in review:
I lost an aunt, but she lived a good long life and died at almost 100.
I reconnected with my favorite cousin and now that life's no longer in the way, we've been able to get together again often.
I lost two friends. One through death -- she died Christmas morning. Her battle with breast cancer is over. The other ... well I'm not sure what happened except she blew off everyone of us who care about her. I'm not sure she has anyone left to hurt.
I became a member of the Elks on September 4th, my name day.
I made a wonderful bunch of new (and hopefully forever) friends.
I met another online friend in person, she came to faire.
I made the decide not to be in faire in 2008.
All in all it was a very good year. :)
