And so it goes. We are in a full-blown pandemic. The entire world is. This will be in the history books someday. I am now working from home - my first day. Got someone who will bring me work orders probably once a week. We are supposed to have social distancing - a new phrase for a new virus. Not sure how he's supposed to hand me my work.
I have been continuing my life. As of today, all stores that are do not sell groceries are closed. There's no toilet paper to be found anywhere and people are fighting over it when they find it. The entire world has gone insane. Derby has its first case of the Corona Virus. Ansonia, Shelton, and Seymour have at least one each. All meetings everywhere are canceled - can't say that bothers me too much. LOL!! Schools are all closed and there will be no graduations.
Sam is still working because Dunkin Donuts and all restaurants can operate through drive-through or curbside pick up or delivery. But they have cut her hours.
I started my spring semester of school - English Lit and am on the second week. First week was easy. Now starts the harder part but what we have to read is awesome - a little Poe, Hawthorne, and other good poets and authors. Even Shirley Jackson's The Lottery.
I am trying to stay positive about all this. Margaret and I are doing our thing. We went to an awesome cemetery in Westfield on Saturday and next Saturday, weather permitting, we will go to another one.
Anthony brought us some protection in case the world get's wonkier. And if worse comes to worse, we will go up to his place.
Paul called me today because prisoners can receive no visitors during this pandemic and now have two free calls a week.
