She puts down my religion, my faith. She's been brainwashed into leaving the Catholic Church and becoming "Christian". We are as much Christian as she thinks she is.
Why do we pray to saints? I read a wonderful way to tell her and I hope the person who said it doesn't mind me borrowing it next time Rita and I have the discussion:
"Asking someone like John Paul to pray for me is like asking you to pray for me. Christians are encouraged to pray for each other. Prayer does not stop with physical death because all are alive to God in Jesus Christ our Saviour."
